Campbell County at AC Football Performance September 2, 2010
5:45 - Uniform Room opens 6 :30 - Students in their seats and ready to warm up and prepare for performance7:30 - Kickoff to start game 9:45:10:15 - Estimated time for the end of game** - Return to band room to put up equipment and uniforms
** Duration of a football game can vary dramatically. The amount of Passing/Number of First downs/Amount of Scoring/Number of Penalties/and not to mention a tied score with Overtime play, can all make the games last longer.
After-School Practice Schedule We are being allowed the 30 minutes at the end of the day (Advisor/Advisee) to get started with after-school practice and our times are being adjusted. We hope that this will work with few problems so that we can dismiss the students at this earlier time. ¨ Monday 3:15-5:15 Woodwinds only (Flute, Clarinet) ¨ Tuesday 6:00-8:30 Flags only ¨ Tuesday 3:15-5:15 Brass and Percussion only ¨ Thursday 3:15-5:15 All Members (Winds, Percussion, and Flags)
This schedule starts the first week of school and continues through mid-October. Please help us with the scheduling of appointments (and yes I know that this is hard to do). Also note that Flags will have two extremely important Saturday mini-camps (see flag information sheet with schedule).
Football Performances Our first game performance this year is away on Friday, August 27, when Anderson County travels to Morristown East. Games are then scheduled for the next nine Fridays. If our football team places in the top of their division, we then play each Friday until we lose or win the state championship. The band will perform at all football games except the Fall Break game on October 15th (Students will be excused from this game performance if they are traveling out of town. As in the past though, we will have a pep band to play in the stands with the students not gone somewhere for Fall Break).
Marching Band Contests As with all High School Bands, we will enter two or three marching band contests this fall. These contests are scheduled on Saturdays. Parents and friends are all invited and encouraged to attend and see us perform. The contest dates that we will traditionally attend contest are on September 25th and October 2nd. We are considering attending a contest after Fall Break on October 30th.
